Prioritise Care for Carers

Supervision is often the first casualty when the pressure is on, sometimes it just doesn't feel like a priority when there are a million and one other things you need to get done. If you're in the care sector, the chances are your team need supervision now more than ever.

Its tough out there on the floor at the moment. Staff are tired, resilience is low and they can see that chances are its going to get tougher before it gets easier. Prioritise some time to check in with them individually and then listen, really listen, and empathise; validate their fears and frustrations and admit that you don't have solutions for everything - no one in the whole world does right now!

Be authentic and demonstrate your care for them as they care for others.
